Wow...extended Halo 2...I mean hiatus

Sorry abou that. Yeah, Halo 2 hit, and hit hardcore. I went into Halo 2 mode a little more than a week before the release, especially with the dramatic conclusion of I Love Bees. As Dustin & Jessie have mentioned, yes, we got to go to a special "Training Event", and yes it was very fun. Joel obviously didn't think it fun, or newsworthy enough to blog about it, but he was there too. I'm still somewhat surprised they held it here in Austin, but hey, who freaking cares, we got to play Halo 2 before it was released.

Ultimately, it was a very good conclusion to an incredible experiment in Alternate Reality Games (ARGs) and gaming communities. Although I lurked through most of the game, I was very wrapped up the in the storyline, which for those interested is downloadable from humptydumpty.html on the I Love Bees site. It's a couple of hours of wav files, so if you know anyone else who was participating, and got their hands on one of the DVDs they gave out, I'd recommend going that route instead.

Anyway, I wanted to continue to give this blogging thing a shot, so I decided I'd better get back into it, otherwise I'll quit. Much like exercising. It's very easy to stop, and once you've stepped off the bandwagon, it's pretty darn hard to start back up again, meh, but more on that later...Back to Halo 2.
