V is for Very Interesting
I saw V is for Vendetta again last Friday night, at the Alamo no less, and again it ROCKED! There is so much to talk about with this movie, but I won't bore you with a complete run through of the plot. Suffice it to say that I find it very entertaining to be rooting for the the terrorist in this film.
On top of all of this, graphically, the Wachoski brothers have created a stunning film. The contrasts are clear between V and his accomplice Evey, and without a doubt in my mind Hugo Weaving has done a stellar job of acting given that he never shows even an inch of his real skin in this film. His ability to emote from behind the Guy Fawkes mask is so unmistakeable, so prevailing it's downright amazing.
If you haven't seen it yet, and you're not afraid of a film that will make you think about your role in this national process, and you aren't afraid of some very well done action sequences, I highly recommend V. Of course, you don't have to take my word for it...Take a look, it's in a book. A Reading Rainbow.
